Connect easily with your provider

We have partnered with DocResponse to provide you with a simple and secure way to meet remotely with your provider.

How do I connect?

Once you have scheduled a telemedicine appointment, you will receive an email and a text 15 minutes prior to your appointment, with a secure link to connect for the visit. Just click the link to connect. It’s that easy!

Standard of care

The standard of care for telehealth treatment and documentation recording the health care services provided by telehealth is the same standard as for an in-person health care service visit. The laws regarding confidentiality of health information and a patient’s right to the patient’s health information also apply in the same manner as the laws apply to an in-person health care interaction. As such, *our office requires both audio and video* for virtual visits to ensure we are meeting that standard. (MD Board of Physicians)

Do I have to be in the state of Maryland during my tele-visit?

While some regulations have been relaxed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, telehealth services are generally held to the same legal requirements and standards of an in-person visit. Our providers are only licensed to practice within the state of Maryland. If you are located in a different state at the time of your visit, you will be asked to reschedule.

What type of visit is appropriate for telemedicine?

Virtual visits are appropriate for a variety of care needs, including urgent care, routine follow-up visits, chronic disease management, medication management, reviewing test or lab results, and lifestyle coaching. Common illnesses including sinus problems, respiratory infections, allergies, colds and flu symptoms, and many other non-emergency illnesses can be treated virtually. Call our office to find out if a telemedicine visit is appropriate for you.

How much will it cost?

Most commercial insurance plans cover virtual visits just as they would an in-office visit with your doctor, but speak with your insurer to confirm. In advance of the visit you will receive an email to check in though a secure online platform. As with any office visit, we will collect the normal copay amount during the check-in process. After your virtual visit we will submit a claim to your insurance carrier for full payment. If the service is not covered by your insurance, we will work with you to set up an affordable payment plan.
