We’re happy to announce that as partners with Privia Health, we offer our patients access to Privia’s Clinical Research Program. Together, we work with a research group called Javara to conduct clinical trials in the Annapolis area.
What is clinical research?
Clinical research is a branch of healthcare science that determines the safety and effectiveness of medications, devices, diagnostic products and treatment regimens intended for human use. These may be used for prevention, treatment, diagnosis or for relieving symptoms of a disease. Clinical Research helps doctors and scientists learn about new medications and treatments that can help you and other people in the future.
Who is Javara?
Javara is our trusted partner in Clinical Research. Javara team members integrate into participating Privia practices to support providers who lead clinical research trials. Contacting You
If you are a potential candidate, you may receive a call on behalf of our practice about participating in a local trial. We will know if you choose to participate in a local trial. Protecting your personal health information is our top priority. As such, if you would like to opt-out, you may do so at any time. We encourage you to talk with your provider if you have questions about a clinical trial.

Clinical trials drive medical advances, but your participation is always voluntary. Participating in clinical trials can help you:
- Gain access to new treatments and care not available to the public
- Obtain medications that you take for little or no cost to you
- Provide information about your health conditions
- Help others by contributing to research
